In 1969 General Motors Chevrolet Camaro, 1970 Oldsmobile 442, 1972 & 1974 Hurst/Olds, 1973 Cadillac Eldorado, 1975 Buick LeSabre, and 1977 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale were selected as the Indy Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Festival Car Parade Car. Before, during and after the race many festivities took place. Emissaries of the Indy Race, General Motors, Hurst Olds and others were provided a car for use during the multi-day celebrations. These were the pace car Festival & Parade Cars, and of course, served during the festivities surrounding the big race.
All Pace Car Festival Cars used two decals you see here on their quarter panels. These decals are equally OEM-correct for restoration of all Indy 500 Pace Car commemorative editions and replicas.
