Almost 60 years ago Carroll Shelby created Shelby Mustangs for mass production and availability. 3M was the only vinyl at that time its and colors were limited. Those vinyl colors are no longer offered by 3M or elsewhere. To achieve original Shelby Stripe and Decal colors often requires printing them to match. This is true for all years 1965-70 because vinyl makers don't offer what they did many decades ago.
1,000 originally produced for the Hertz Corporation to be offered as rental cars, the vehicles were returned to the Ford factory for refurbishment and later sold as the GT350H model. Correctly from factory these vehicles would generally receive a gold metallic stripe. After years of research Phoenix Graphix is now offering these iconic stripes for sale.
